Why hand tied jigs?

The Welch family loves to crappie fish.  We fish mainly with live scope or forward-facing sonar. We prefer hand tied jigs for three reasons.

1. They are way more durable and hassle free than both soft plastics and live bait.  You can catch hundreds on the same jig.
2. They fish fast.  Successful livescope fisherman usually cover a lot of water fast.  Hand tied jigs allow you to keep your bait in the water. You never have to reset your jig as you do with a soft plastic or live bait.
3. You catch more fish.  With your bait always ready and in the water more often you have a higher probability to catch more fish.
